We can’t stand in our power if we refuse to acknowledge all of its facets.  We can’t connect to our intution if we disconnect and avoid pain.  There is the power within us, and the power bestowed on us (or restricted) by society.  Fully acknowledging both is necessary for our actualization as individuals and progression as a society.
